Kandahar is an upcoming Indian Malayalam-language film directed by Major Ravi starring Mohanlal, reprising his role from the sequels as Major Mahadevan. Amitabh Bachchan and Ganesh Venkatraman also play roles in the project.
The film is expected to be dubbed and released in Tamil and Hindi. The film is said to be based on the hijacking incident of the Indian Airlines Flight 814. The sound recording of this movie is done by Dr. Resul Pookutty. This movie is produced by Sunil Nair under the banner Zoe Estebe Moviez Pvt. Ltd. and Mohanlal under Pranavam Arts International.
